Sad news for those of us whose Christmas wish lists included (or perhaps were exclusively limited to) Nathan Myhrvold’s epic 2,400-page, multivolume cookbook Modernist Cuisine: The book’s publication, originally slated for December 1, has been delayed until March 14, 2011. “Proofreading and correcting 2,400 pages is, as you can imagine, a very big job,” Myhrvold writes on the book’s website. “And it has been taking longer than we expected to complete that work.” But hope springs eternal! He notes that “with continued hard work — and some luck — the book may actually be available sooner.” [ModernistCuisine.com]
