Pat and Carol Grimaldi, the founders of the Dumbo pizzeria that bears their name (but is now under new ownership), are looking to open a 62-seat coal-oven pizzeria at 352 Bowery. According to Eater, however, Community Board 2 was too concerned about lines, venting, and noise to green-light them. More successful, however, was the project that pit Serge Becker against Anna Wintour — it finally got the board’s okay after downgrading to beer and wine (we’re assuming Anna was too busy with Fashion Week to put in an appearance at the meeting this time around). Other news: Pravda will, if we’re to believe it, now be known as St. James even though there will be no physical changes made to Keith McNally’s onetime Soviet-themed hot spot.
