First Look at the New Flex Mussels and Its Desserts From Top Chef’s Zac Young

This week, New York noted that Upper East Side mussel shack Flex Mussels is opening a 56-seat West Village location where Top Chef: Just Desserts contender Zac Young will supplement the familiar menu of P.E.I. mussels in 23 sauces with fried whoopee pies, seasonal doughnuts, and (exclusive to this location) a chocolate soufflé with salted peanut caramel and nougat ice cream. The savory menu (below) also boasts a few additions: namely, clams casino, coconut corn chowder, and bruschetta.
