Cardullo’s Kills Chair Club

For a certain group of Cantabrigians, a group of chairs in front of Cardullo’s has long functioned as a home away from home. The Chair Club gathered regularly to watch Sox games on the massive television in Cardullo’s window. Yesterday, however, Cardullo’s owner Donez Cardullo removed the television in order to install a window display, reports the Cambridge Chronicle.

The Chair Club is not pleased. “Shocked doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling. Both my husband and I are so upset. I’m at work, and I can’t stop crying,” Kelly Dugas Coveney, who met, got engaged to, and married her husband in front of Cardullo’s, tells the paper. This is a bummer, to be sure, but we would humbly suggest that the Chair Club move their meetings inside.
