Cafeteria owner George Aboujaoude will soon open Bijou in the Theater District, reports the Herald. Bijou will be a duplex restaurant/nightclub (an ultra lounge, if you will) in the former home of Europa and Buzz.
From 5 to 11, Bijou will serve a menu of utensil-free small plates from Sorellina alum Michael Navarette, who will also become Cafeteria’s executive chef. After 11, it will transform into a straight up nightclub, complete with bottle service. Bijou is slated to open in October.
In other openings news, a second branch of Connecticut luxury Mexican spot Lolita will take Papa Razzi’s spot when the Italian restaurant moves to the current Newbury Street home of Bouchee.
