Gramercy: In honor of Mexican Independence Day, Dos Caminos has a special Mexican Independence menu running tomorrow through September 20 featuring wild mushroom and huitlacoche quesadillas, birria de borrego, and crepas de calabaza. [Grub Street]


Greenpoint: Greenpoint Open Studios hosts a pie bake-off this next Thursday, September 23, at the Diamond. The grand prize winner will get to attend a dinner hosted by the Brooklyn Edible Social Club. It’s free to enter and $10 if you want to eat. There will also be a silent art auction. [Grub Street]
