As we predicted, the S.F. Street Food Fest this past weekend was just as popular, if not moreso, as it was in its inaugural turn last summer. Despite the footprint being seven times as big, with four times the vendors and wings stretching down 25th Street, there were nonetheless *long* lines come afternoon for everything from Nick Balla’s now famous Nombe wings, Roli Roti’s porchetta, Namu’s “real Korean tacos,” 4505 Meats’ burger, Aziza’s harissa-spiked fried chicken, and Kitchenette’s delicious guinea fowl poutine — which, if we had to guess, is going to usher in a long overdue wave of poutines on local menus. Check out our slideshow of the scene and the food, and meanwhile we’re going to head out for a jog in preparation for next weekend’s final gorge-a-thon at Oakland’s Eat Real Fest.
