
We checked out Osteria Coppa via a test dinner last week (it officially opens tonight), and chef Chanan Kamen (previously executive sous chef and pasta maker at Quince) is doing some nice stuff in the pizza, salumi, and fresh pasta department that is sure to fill a gap in the newly bustling dining scene in downtown San Mateo. We’d especially go back for the smoked trout pasta, and the fresh artichoke pizza, but check out the full menu below.

We work closely with local farmers and purveyors to bring you the freshest ingredients,
local and organic when possible, and always seasonal. We handcraft our pastas, hand
stretch our pizza dough and cure our own salumi in house. In the tradition of Italian food
