Speaking of Wok with Yan, Martin Yan is coming to town for a special event tomorrow as part of Matcha at the Asian Art Museum. This DJ-party event is called Drunken Dish, and will feature “drunken” or wine-marinated dishes from Yan as well as chef Nei Chia Ji from celebrated local restaurant Jai Yun. It all kicks off at 5 p.m. and there’ll be a cash bar along with tasting portions of vegetarian goose (?) with bean curd and rice wine, pickled cucumber in Huang Chiew wine, and “drunken chicken” with Shaoxing wine.
