The weekend’s forecast looks like its going to be agreeable for tomorrow’s Ninth Annual Stephen Starr-Garry Maddox Barbecue Challenge at Citizen’s Bank Park. From 4 to 7 p.m. participating restaurants, including Starr’s Butcher and Singer, Continental Mid-town, El Vez, El Rey, Jones and Morimoto will serve up their best barbecue to be judged against entries from Bomb Bomb BBQ Grill, Bull’s BBQ, Carolina Blue Smokehouse & Taproom, McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon and more. Judges will include Phillies Alumni, Top Chef contender Kevin Sbraga and Tony Luke. Admission is free and sampling tickets will be available for $15 for three. Proceeds will benefit Garry Maddox’s Youth Golf & Academics Program.
• Also happening tomorrow at 12 noon is Victory Brewing Co.’s Brew BQ at Twin Brook Winery. It will feature barbecue served up by competitors in the Pit Master Competition, Victory ice cream, and of course, Victory’s beers.
• In Phoenixville, Sly Fox Brewing Company is celebrating the grand opening of its newly relocated pub all weekend. They will have 23 beers on tap, a selection of food specials, and will serve up O’Reilley’s Stout ice cream floats. Tonight and tomorrow will also feature live music.
• On Sunday, Tattooed Moms is hosting a special bike craft day from 1 to 11 p.m. Pedal over and enjoy half price draughts, while creating your own personalized spoke cards at Mom’s craft table.
