The new charitable restaurant concern from a team of Mission Street Food and Bar Tartine alums by the name of Commonwealth (2224 Mission) swings open its doors tonight. The hungry Mission faithful, who’ve already embraced Mission Chinese Food with open arms, will most probably show some immediate love for this place too, if we had to guess — if only for the pedigree of the staff and the low prices. Also, the restaurants 100 or so investors (that was the original plan anyway) will likely be jockeying for first dibs on seats. We took a look inside yesterday and also shot a few photos of some of chef Jason Fox’s dishes. See the full menu here, or click through for our slideshow, which also includes a before-and-after of the former El Herradero space.
