Seasons 52 Bringing More Market Menus to The Mall This Monday

One more healthy-leaning, mall-bound import to round out the summer: Seasons 52, due next Monday, August 30th in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza. This is the first California location of the grill and wine bar that changes menus regularly, a selling-point that the press release freely admits “capitalizes on growing consumer interest in fresher seasonal foods that complement the California lifestyle.” Sexy! Besides seasonal cooking, what else will you find between two fire-places on an outdoor patio, two private dining rooms, and nightly piano bar entertainment in this 300-seat restaurant?

Coming out of an open kitchen will be such high-end shopping center favorites as flatbreads, these particular ones loaded with spicy chipotle shrimp, pineapple, feta, and poblanos as designed by culinary director Clifford Pleau. Elsewhere among a planned autumn menu, exec chef and Seasons 52 partner Tim Kast will cook Pleau’s Colorado-sourced buffalo chili, sun-dried tomato pasta with fresh, caramelized sea scallops and roasted asparagus, and a mesquite filet mignon among the many wood-fire grill and brick-oven options that the restaurant considers a calling card. New weekly entree specials and flatbread recipes will also be on-hand, along with over 100 wine choices. Servings of mini-mousses in flavors like chocolate peanut butter and pecan pie are the usual way Seasons 52 finishes its customers off.

Check out typical menus on the chain’s website and see its Facebook for updates on the new location.
