Chris Phelps and Zak Walters’ Salt’s Cure opens tomorrow in West Hollywood. A combination butcher shop, deli, and restaurant, the duo will painstakingly produce all cuisine in-house for menus that change daily. You can buy sustainable fish and meats, all sourced from responsible Cali ranchers, at a counter to take home, mine a deli case of charcuterie and cuts, or sit down for blackboard menu specials over brunch, lunch, and dinner.
Daily Candy prepares us for deli-fare at lunch-whitefish sandwiches and corned beef sandwiches, and oatmeal griddle cakes with duck confit over brunch. With the team’s combined experience gained from Hungry Cat, Canele, and Cube and a passion for product, expectations are high for a new gem here. Open tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. for brunch, with dinner to be added soon. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and can be followed on Twitter while a website is under construction.
