Lots and lots of pita…

Though there is a whole industry of Mediterranean spots in the Loop, it looks like the South Loop will soon just get its first. Sloopin’ reports that Pita Corner is moving 1250 S Michigan, just south of Roosevelt Rd. There is no menu for now, but the restaurant does plan to open sometime in August. The slightly anonymous name made us think it was a plain pita making chain, but while we can locate Pita off the Corner and Extreme Pita in Corner Brook Newfoundland, Pita Corner looks to be at least original. Whether it is good or not is another question. [Sloopin’]
