When most people take a break from work they may like to read a book, but apparently that’s just too easy for Phillip Foss, who has gone to the trouble of writing one. The former Lockwood chef and pop-up truck entrepreneur, published an excerpt of his upcoming memoir on his blog. The passage is surprisingly frank, dealing with, among other things, quitting Le Cirque, his wife’s miscarriage, and getting fired from a different restaurant. It’s apparently just a teaser, as he’s already looking for an agent: “Looking for an agent to represent a memoir nearing first draft completion. Anybody know one?” [The Pickled Tongue]
