Skokie-based Makisu Sushi Lounge and Grill is making a play in the crowded Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village sushi scene, as an outlet has its “soft opening” today. Look for that grand opening to happen later this week. The full menu isn’t up yet, but after taking a look at the mother ship’s menu in the suburbs, it seems to be the usual mix of old school nigiri, the oddly named “sushi entrees,” and a dozen odd “speciality rolls.” That includes one named the “Wicker Park,” which obviously contains “lobster tempura and barbecued eel.” [Thrillist]
