Add another location of Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop to the growing list of crunchy, healthy lunch-hour alternatives to that duck-fat-fried, bacon-wrapped, foie-filled pork belly you’re probably going to have for dinner. Opening in Century City on August 22nd, this will be the second depot of Jonathan Rollo and chef Kristi Ritchey’s (of The Biggest Loser) custom-made, locally-sourced salad, wrap, and sandwich spot that earned “best new restaurant” nods from Los Angeles magazine in 2008. What will you find inside?

Taking pity on the poor souls trapped daily in this part of town, the 2,400-foot space is set to be an escape for the city’s suits, with a huge communal table, bar seating, and outdoor patio. If you’re really busy, or are the assistant to someone who is, there will be curbside pick up of pre-made orders that can be placed online. Expect more fire-grilled meats and Breadbar rolls and a similar sustainable farm-stand-style design as the original, while tracking the progress on Twitter.

Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, open August 23rd, 1888 Century Park East. Century City. 424-239-8700.
