Another long-delayed project is showing new signs of life: Gary Danko’s casual concept at Ghirardelli Square, which we thought was called American Brasserie (900 North Point), is set to begin construction in four weeks. As the Chron is reporting, the three-year-old project has finally secured all the necessary funding and is aiming for an early 2011 opening. But as Zagat reported back in June, Danko still hasn’t settled on a name for the place, but he wants “something short and snappy” to go with his “lively, but very Yankee-inspired casual menu.”
