City Provisions began as a catering operation, but it’s getting ready to make the jump to a full time deli, as its new storefront opens this Friday in Ravenswood. Essentially a local food bazaar, City Provisions Deli will stock pastries, breads, cheese, liquor, and wine, all from around the state. But it’ll also be butchering meat in house, roasting and curing them into a various deli meats including ham, pastrami, and corned beef. Naturally, it’ll be slicing these up and stuffing them onto a range of sandwiches, which is what we are most excited about. [Thrillist]
