Rachael Narins and Suzanne Griswold, founders of the gypsy locavore dinner party Chicks With Knives, are teaming up at BreadBar’s Hatchi Series tonight for “Love, Kisses, and BBQ.” The menu slams “S.O.L.E.” to your pie-hole, meaning all elements are designed to be sustainable, organic, local, and ethical, though we’ll let Randy Cohen argue the exact scruples behind pulled pork. The eight-dollar small plates will all feature barbecue-inspired recipes made from scratch using ingredients sourced within 200 miles of L.A., including produce from the duo’s own gardens. The eight dishes, named for “kisses” in different tongues, include a salad with green tomatoes from Crenshaw Garden, a Pimm’s-splashed oyster sourced from Carlsbad Aquafarm, and tempura fried chicken, as well as two desserts. Check out tonight’s full menu below and make reservations at 310-277-3770.
