Chef Vincent Schofield Resurfaces at Darwin Café

You may recall that chef Vincent Schofield made a quick departure from the now (possibly permanently) closed Ebb & Flow, and the former Boulevard lineman has already resurfaced at the tiny Darwin Café (212 Ritch Street at Brannan), a few doors down from Little Skillet. As Tasting Table reports, he’s serving up special pressed sandwiches and baguettes daily, as well as a quintet of roasted dishes in tiny iron skillets ($8-$9) including albacore with blistered onions, olives and celery salad; seared scallops with jamón serrano, watercress and serrano chiles; and something involving octopus. Consider us excited.
