Two bizarrely obnoxious young ladies have been using Michael Bauer’s name to try to score tables, and an off-menu grilled cheese sandwich, at the Tipsy Pig and Wayfare Tavern. One woman, who may be going by the alias Jennifer Jones, claims to be Bauer’s niece and has both emailed publicists and tried to sound all important in restaurants with this ruse. (For the record, Bauer has no local relatives.) After making a scene at the Pig, she and her friend were given the cold shoulder and stormed out. At Wayfare, they got a table. Call it TyFlo’s new-to-town naiveté.
