Two of those dozen or so empty lots along Octavia may be getting a new temporary structure that would include a beer garden from the Suppenkuche team (called Biergarten) as well as a new Pizzeria Delfina, as the Chron is reporting. The proposed project, called Proxy, would be built partially out of shipping containers between Hayes and Fell Streets, and the design comes from Envelope Architecture + Design. The Board of Supervisors still needs to weigh in on the concept, which would be temporary with the long-term goal being to build housing on the parcels, but construction might start as soon as September.
