The Italian beef is on the move, as Al’s #1 Italian Beef is about to open at the corner of Jackson and Wabash according to Time Out. It’ll be the company’s first location in Loop, which almost immediately qualifies it as the best Italian beef in the Loop. But that’s not all for the iconic Chicago stand. The company is also planning to launch 250 franchise locations around the country. While we agree with some critics that some of the essence of the original Taylor St. location gets lost in translation, we also think that it is mostly a noble cause to expose more of the world to the wonders of the Italian beef.
