MR., the upscale barbershop and “urban lounge” that shuttered this spring after struggling to get people to pay hundreds of dollars upfront for a year of haircuts, has already been replaced by a private club and “urban refuge” called Wingtip. As the Scoop reports, they’ll be serving beer and wine and providing a space for FiDi douchebags fellows to gather, watch sports, play Wii, and play chess. The fee for this privilege? $1,000. Good luck selling this one in a non-insane-bubble economy.
