After fast-food pasta joint Hello Pasta opened in midtown earlier this month, followed by Nooi, we found ourselves at Vapiano last night at the after-party for the premiere of the movie The Extra Man. The German-based chain’s first New York City restaurant is open to the non-famous today at 13th Street and University Place, but last night’s event served as a glitzy launch for a place with pasta, pizza, and panini stations. We spotted Kevin Kline, Phoebe Cates, Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan, Marian Seldes, Jonathan Ames, Tracey Ullman, and Judah Friedlander all carbo-loading there. We’ve got the menu, below.
