In the run-up to its annual “Best of Philly” issue, Philadelphia magazine is announcing winners of its coveted accolades via the web on a daily basis. This year’s “Best New Restaurant” goes to fish, Mike Stollenwerk’s big and notably liquor-licensed follow up to erstwhile Queen Village hot spot Little Fish, which closed earlier this year. Next up for Stollenwerk is his Maine Event, a seven-course dinner on July 27 that will feature seafood and beers from Maine, which will be followed by his hot dinner date at the James Beard House on August 25. Stollenwerk is still on track for opening his gastropubby Fathom Seafood Bar in Fishtown this fall. [Philadelphia Magazine]
