PETA may have been prevented from publicly launching a campaign in Montreal, but they managed to pull off a “Meat is Murder” stunt at West 45th Street and Broadway in Times Square today. According to a press release, the “nearly naked” PETA members “aim to demonstrate that all animals — including humans — are made of flesh, blood, and bone; that animals have the same senses and range of emotions as humans do; and that when you eat meat, you are eating a corpse.” A pretty bloody scene to stumble upon during your lunch break, though nowhere near as horrifying as almost being hit by a suicide jumper while you’re sitting at a Starbucks.
