Jacob the Jeweler is so 2002. Today’s New York ice connection manages to fit 2010 budgets perfectly while still showing a surplus of swagger. Rob Phaneuf, a former porn actor according to Thrillist, recently rolled out The Godfather of food trucks, complete with faux-bullet scars and an NYC skyline. New York Ice Connection certainly stands out, offering all the sensationalism as a cover of F.E.D.S. Magazine, branded with ads for “Real Friggin’ Italian Ices” and naming all of its treats after famous gangstas. so, who’s on board?

There’s Mango Montana and Strawberry Soprano, named for both Tony’s, as well as Cotton Candy Corleone, Sour Apple Snitch Sammy, and a questionably tasteless Bumpy “Chocolate” Johnson (he already had a nickname, guys: “Bumpy”). While the truck makes a life of crime seem sorta cool again, the product is guaranteed to chill you out when the heat gets heavy.
