Chef Masaharu Morimoto, who parlayed his Iron Chef fame into an American restaurant empire with spots in New York and Philly, is opening Morimoto Napa in the Napa Riverfront complex by the end of next week, as the Chron’s Inside Scoop reports. The menu will feature Japanese-sourced fish, locally sourced produce, and dishes like his signature tuna pizza, as well as new ones like sea urchin carbonara (udon, bacon, urchin) and “his twist on fig on a plate,” fig tempura (fried figs with peanut butter and foie gras sauce). Early adopters with cash to burn should snag a ticket to the sneak preview this Sunday, which’ll run you $95.
