Thomas Keller really wants the U.S. to beat France someday at the Bocuse d’Or. With that in mind, he’s throwing a benefit event over Labor Day weekend which includes dinner with him in the French Laundry’s culinary garden, a lunchtime cooking demo, and a sumptuous French Laundry feast. The price tag is steep at $2750 per person ($5250 per couple), with proceeds going to the Bocuse D’Or U.S.A Foundation. [Grub Street, Earlier]
