Hyde Park C.F. Donovan’s Lives Again

Brace yourself: it looks like the Hyde Park C.F. Donovan’s just might open after all. Local businessman Richard Jerrier recently purchased the building, the rights to the restaurant, and the restaurant’s liquor license, reports the Bulletin. Jerrier is expected to submit a formal application to the Boston Licensing Board in a few days. C.F. Donovan’s was originally slated to open in November, 2006 (not a typo) and spent the next three years in a strange limbo where an imminent opening was always rumored, but never happened before owner Arthur Donovan declared bankruptcy in late 2009. Let’s hope this attempt to open C.F. Donovan’s (or whatever name Jerrier decides on) goes a little more smoothly.
