Gunner’s Bar in Wicker park opened quietly last week, and at first we kind of passed it off as just another bar in a neighborhood full of them. But the men behind this opening make it a little more interesting. Eric Palm has worked for over fourteen years at the Matchbox, which is one of our favorite bars in the city. His brother, Dan Palm, has worked at the Silver Palm, which you may remember from a certain Anthony Bourdain episode. According to LTHForum, the menu right now is just burgers, but there are plans to expand it over time. [Thrillist]
