Pinkberry might be taking a licking, but it’s not stopping competing fro-yo chains from trying to swipe some of their action in the Valley. Coming soon to the shuttered Oaks Ridge Plaza location of Leaf Organics (who are reopening a Culver City store on July 18th) is Frootsi. Based in Chatsworth, this will be the chain’s second depot selling its boba, avocado frapp, regular, dairy free, and low-fat frozen yogurt, and major menu of cupcakes. And what’s due for Encino?
That city will soon see an opening of Blizz, which is slightly delayed from a projected June opening, but coming very soon. With stores from Nevada and Sacramento to Glendora and Downey, this will be the sixth store in the midst of a big expansion that will put their frozen yogurt, freshly baked Belgian waffles, shakes, and blended coffees to The Grove in 2011.
