Christopher Kostow, the “white hot” executive chef at Meadowood in Napa whom Bauer recently blessed with four stars, got a little national television exposure over the weekend on CBS’s Early Show. Unfortunately, host Chris Wragge introduces him as the chef at “Maplewood,” and apart from the annoyed look Kostow flashes at the camera (pictured), the chef chooses not to correct the smarmy host and just to save this as a funny story he’ll be telling later.
Warning: the video’s a little long. But in the first section Kostow demonstrates how to make a twist on a tomato salad with stone fruits, and then he cooks some cod, a fish Wragge seems extra jazzed about for some reason.
