Dettera, the suburban restaurant Grub Street recently mentioned had appointed a new chef and switched its focus from big city dining to a more approachable local and seasonal direction, has rolled out new menus today. Changes include tweaks to dinner offerings and new pre-theater and bar menus. “We have completely overhauled the menu,” Chef Jeffrey Power told Grub Street. “We will continue to switch things up as the season progresses.”
For customers looking for an early quick bite before catching a screening at the Ambler Theatre, the small independent repertory cinema across the street from Dettera, Power has come up with a daily changing pre-theater menu. It features a combination of items created that day and dishes from the dinner menu and is available until 6:30 p.m.
For the new bar menu, Power and his team created a selection of “snacky type things” that are tasty, affordable and are good accompaniments for sipping cocktails and wine. Highlights include hand cut potato chips, with Cipolini onion dip, figs and baby arugula pizza, and foie gras bon bons.
