Crocodile, the storied bar that doles out free pizza with every beer purchased and has spawned locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Chicago, will open its Philly outpost in Old City on Friday, Phoodie reports. The two-story bar will occupy the former Otium space at 110 Chestnut Street, and feature a bar, pizza bar, stools and booths downstairs and a lounge upstairs. Due to Pennsylvania’s backward liquor laws, Crocodile will issue tickets that are redeemable for pizza at one bar and serve up hot slices from another. Also, it’s reportedly barred from advertising the free pizza deal. [Phoodie]
