It’s a big day for those on the side of food trucks in the city of Chicago. The city council will finally be taking a look at legislation from 32nd Ward Alderman Scott Waguespack. It should fix many of the annoying issues that prohibit most food trucks from operating in the city. If you’d like to read this monster, you can do so here (Warning: It is long, boring, and a PDF). The Chicago Reader has been the most level headed publication through this whole process, and we are looking to them for a gauge of its success. They were doubters the first time, and they turned out to be right. Luckily, they seem a little more positive this time, but they point out that it may not be completely clear yet, “Remember, though, this is still just the beginning.” [Chicago Reader]
