According to the Post, the embattled Cipriani clan owes $4 million to the bank and Capital One is suing. The bank has already seized $368,000 from the account of Giovanna Cipriani and wants more from her brother Giuseppe. Update: Matthew Hiltzik, spokesman for Cipriani, offers a statement: “This lawsuit is over a year old and has included claims and counter claims by both sides. We can’t comment in any further detail. Thankfully business is improving as the economy has shown some signs recovery. The company is even considering plans for expansion.”
