The name of Chris Santos’s furniture store turned restaurant is Beauty & Essex, a source tells Grub Street. “Essex” because of its address at 169 Essex Street, and “beauty” because — well, who knows, but isn’t it a nice word? The menu and concept aren’t yet defined, but expect something that draws crowds demographically similar to the folks filling seats at Stanton Social.
