Another day, another vaguely Pan Asian sushi spot is hitting the scene. Chikurin, which is Japanese for bamboo, is opening later this week on North Avenue in Bucktown. The full menu isn’t up just yet, but we have a few hints of what to expect. Along with the sushi they are planning on serving Korean-style kimchee pancakes, Thai spring rolls, and moo shu chicken. Oddly, the address is exactly the same as Cellar Rat Wine Shop, though we called and the wine shop is still open. Oh well. Pick up that bottle of white wine before you hit Chikurin, as this new restaurant doesn’t yet have its liquor license. [Thrillist]
