Chhaya Café

Though an opening date remains elusive, Chhaya Café, a coffee shop that will specialize in waffles, will open sometime in the near future in the former Le Petite Croissant space on East Passyunk Avenue, Meal Ticket reports. And when it does, it’s sure to be a welcomed addition to the neighborhood’s brunch destinations that are maxed out most weekends. Chhaya will reportedly serve coffee, fresh baked goods and a handful of waffle dishes during the week. On weekends it will step up the waffle offerings and serve a host of other brunch dishes too. On Friday and Saturday nights the café will serve Venetian-style small plates for dinner. [Meal Ticket]
