Cow Hollow: Café Des Amis (2000 Union Street), from the fine people who brought you Spruce, is getting ready to open on July 21. Tablehopper has a first look at the stunningly posh interior, which includes custom chandeliers, a limestone fireplace, a 25-foot solid zinc bar made by Parisian craftsmen, and lots of paneling. Mill Valley: Tyler Florence and Sammy Hagar’s co-venture, El Paseo, looks like it won’t be opening this summer as planned. It’s caught up in some Marin County red tape that will delay it until October or so. [Grub Street, Earlier]
Embarcadero: Epic Roasthouse is having a little pig and Pinot of their own on July 17 with an event called High on the Hog, with a full afternoon of pork from chef Jan Birnbaum and wines from award-winners like Goldeneye and Hirsh Vineyards. $95 gets you in and fed. Get tickets here. [Grub Street]

Yerba Buena: Press Club, which recently won some design honors, is now serving pizza and starting DJ nights on weekends. [Cultured Pickle Shop. [Berkeleyside]
