What to Eat at Waterloo & City’s New Brunch and Sunday Roast

Culver City’s new Waterloo & City is launching weekend brunch and Sunday lunch on June 13th. Staying true to his British roots, chef Brendan Collins will prepare Sunday roasts served family-style, though they fortunately have mercy on olde English cuisine by throwing in some Californian bounty. The roasts compliment weekend brunch options like the “Full English,” which veers from the authentic with a latke avocado and a heirloom tomato Benedict doused in olive oil Hollandaise. Brunch options sound indulgent in an “eggs in purgatory” plate of lobster, tomato, basil, and brioche, though Nicoise and shrimp Louie are also on hand. The Sunday roast, available with the usual weekend brunch menu, comes in choices of roast beef Yorkshire pudding bearing horseradish cream gravy,a whole roasted chicken in sage and onion bread sauce, or rack of pork with apricot and hazelnut stuffing.
