When we first looked at the menu for One. Six One, which opens in Little Italy on June 21, we thought it was a joke. Sure, tons of restaurants talk about their globally inspired menu, but none flaunt it quite like this one. Peek at the appetizers and you’ll see everything from chips and salsa, sushi, samosas, marinated olives, hummus, and chicken wings. It’s the same deal with the entrées, which run through the greatest hits of Italy, Japan, India, France, United States, Spain, and Greece. It sounds like one of those “everyone wins,” kind of gimmicks, but I’m not sure they’ve thought about the potentially dangerous combinations of food here.
