What to Eat at El’s Kitchen, Now Open

What did we say about all these barbecue places opening up? Sure, El’s Kitchen in Lincoln Park isn’t going for the full blown Smokey Bears Barbecue route, but the new spot still has smoked ribs and brisket on the menu. The rest of the menu is filled up with bar and grill classics, including burgers, chopped salads, and onion rings. It just had its soft opening last week, and picked up a liquor license on Saturday. Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip - Served with flatbread

Rubbed Onion Rings

Four grilled drumsticks - Served with a sweet and sour sauce with a touch of spice and topped with sesame seeds


El’s Signature Caesar Salad - Chopped Romain lettuce leaves lightly tossed with house Caesar dressing, grated Parmesano cheese and freshly ground black pepper. Served with rubbed and toasted croutons

Chopped Cobb Salad - Bite-size pieces of crispy Romain lettuce, smoked bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs and sliced avocado and served with a smoked corn vinaigrette

Baby Spinach Salad - Baby spinach with dried cherries, crumbled feta cheese and Colin’s candied pecans tossed with a warm house bacon and honey vinaigrette.

Fries - Potatoes dusted with El’s signature seasoning and fried to perfection

Farmer’s Market rubbed Vegetables - Weekly special blend of vegetables grown from local farms



BBQ Baby Back Ribs - Seasoned with El’s signature dry rub and smoked slowly for a tender mouth-watering flavor

Smoked Brisket - Tender sliced beef brisket slathered with El’s signature BBQ sauce

Grilled Salmon - Served with a mustard beurre blanc


All sandwiches are served with your choice of Kettle Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, or House Salad.

Niman Ranch Burger - Burger grilled to your liking and served on a roll with lettuce, tomato and raw or grilled onion

Veggie Burger - Handmade with seasonal vegetables, beans and lentils and spiced with El’s signature rub. Accompanied with lettuce, tomato and raw or grilled onion and served on a pretzel roll. Cheese available upon request

Grilled Chicken Club - Tender slow roasted chicken slices with smoked bacon and beefsteak tomato, and served with grainy mustard, mayo on tuscan bread
