Want to play Padma, Gail, and Tom for an evening? Water Grill is promoting the fact that its sous chef, Amanda Baumgarten, is currently competing on Top Chef by introducing a new dish each week inspired by the show’s latest episode and using the ingredients Baumgarten used. This week’s dish is a barbecue rib and scallop duo and will only be available over dinner Wednesday through Friday at the Downtown seafood restaurant, as will all the weekly special dishes, which will likely be priced in the mid-$30s. A new Top Chef-flavored dish will be introduced every week until Baumgarten gets the boot from Padma. Seeing as the Water Grill deal is just now being announced, it seems a strong bet that she won’t be packing her knives immediately.
