The Spotted Pig Wakes Up Early for the World Cup

Not normally a place inclined toward keeping morning hours, the Spotted Pig is making an exception this month for soccer fans. The gastropub will be screening World Cup games twice daily from tomorrow through the end of the tournament on July 11, and for those early morning kickoffs, they’re launching a breakfast menu. The tightly edited selection — a berry-banana smoothie, frittata slices, and sausage rolls all for $6 each; housemade muffins for $3 — begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs until either the regular brunch menu (weekends at 11) or lunch menu (weekdays at noon) kicks in. And for the true early morning soccer fan experience, Porkslap Pale Ale will be readily available for just five bucks.
