Friends Kevin Toomajian and Jim Gruettner are opening Marengo on Union tomorrow in the former U Street Lounge space (1980 Union Street), and we’ve got some shots of the newly refreshed space, which includes a retractable roof and a very pleasant patio. The straight-forward, whiskey-centric menu includes things like whiskey wings, fried pickles, and eight choices of sliders including jerk chicken, lamb, and beef.
