Pool Parties Get Meat Hook and Roberta’s While Greenpoint Food Market Gets in Trouble

While the Greenpoint Food Market has fallen under the scrutiny of the Department of Health and may be in danger owing to permitting issues, there’s good news, at least, a little south of the G-spot. The JellyNYC concert series featuring Weezer, Faith No More, and others at East River State Park in Williamsburg will get the hipster–dream-team combo of Roberta’s and the Meat Hook. It’s enough to rival Brooklyn Flea at SummerStage! Edible Brooklyn has the scoop.

The Meat Hook will be cooking their you-must-eat-these-before-you-die sausages from a new “Pig Cooker Trailer Grill” procured in Virginia, as well as pulled pork or Sloppy Joes, plus sweet tea.

They also tell us Roberta’s is hard at work building a pizza oven trailer (we hope it has a rooftop garden too!) and that El Diablo, the truck in the backyard of Union Pool on Union Avenue, is also going to represent with tacos, grilled corn and hopefully horchata.

Look for the Pig Cooker Grill every Sunday there are shows. And maybe we won’t scalp these Weezer tickets after all.
